In our testing, we found it to be comfortable to wear and sound great, but if music is your primary concern, you’ll probably be better off with one of the headphones on this list.
But it also has a lot to offer. We love the sleek, solid Bluetooth connectivity, along with the understated chassis and sleek black-and-white color scheme.
2. Apple AirPods Max
If you’re an Apple-centric person who works on a MacBook and has an iPhone (and iPad), Apple’s AirPods Max noise-cancelling headphones make it easy to connect multiple Apple devices at once (as long as you’re signed in to your iCloud account on all your devices).
And you can switch between them. If you’re on a Zoom conference call and your iPhone gets a call, the AirPods Max will automatically switch to your iPhone.
They sound great, and they do a great job of capturing your voice and reducing background noise, thanks to all the microphones.
Aside from the high price, the other potential downside is their heft. I found them comfortable, but some people have had issues with them.
UC headsets that include a USB dongle to easily connect the headset wirelessly to your computer tend to be more expensive than headsets that only have Bluetooth connectivity.
At around $130, the Cyber Acoustics Essential Bluetooth Headset HS-2000BT is a bargain compared to similarly styled models from Jabra and Poly.
While the HS-2000BT isn’t necessarily better than this model, it’s lighter, more comfortable to wear, and offers similar features, including a foldable boom mic with an auto-mute feature (when the boom mic is folded down).
It also has a few bonus features: active noise cancellation and wireless charging (a Qi wireless charging pad isn’t included).
The caller said the sound was good, although not as clear as the Logitech Zone Vibe 100.
The HS-2000BT sounded good for music but was on the warm side (with a bit of bass emphasis). The headset is worth checking out, especially if it’s on sale.

Logitech’s second-generation Zone Wireless 2 headset improves on the original with an upgraded design and performance.
This is an on-ear model that competes with Jabra’s Evolve2 65 Flex, but it’s a bit heavier (230g) and has some metal parts (though the headset feels premium and solid).
The soft ear pads are filled with high-quality memory foam, making them comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
Like the Jabra, this Logitech has a foldable boom mic with a mute button.
It also has active noise cancellation, which I found to be effective at absorbing outside noise and reducing background noise when on calls.
You can also turn on transparency mode to let in outside noise. The headset has five microphones and uses Bluetooth 5.2 to provide a wireless range of 50m, which is much better than the typical Bluetooth range of 10m.
Battery life is rated at up to 15 hours with noise cancellation on, or 18 hours with it off.
People were impressed with how clear the headset sounded on calls, even when I tested it on the noisy streets of New York.
The audio quality has also improved, and while it’s not as good as Sony or Bose headphones, it’s still pretty good for music. It supports SBC, AAC, and AptX audio codecs (the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex only supports SBC).

The only thing I didn’t like about the Voyager 4300 UC is the lack of active noise cancellation.
The two built-in mics are paired with a boom mic that does have noise cancellation, but it’s not enough to completely block out background noise.
Also, the 22.5 ounces feel heavy pretty quickly, so I wouldn’t recommend these headphones for anyone who sits for long periods of time.
However, unlike the Voyage 5200, if you need over-ear headphones, but don’t have the budget for the B&O Pair or Evolve2 75, these will fit you pretty well.
7. Anker Soundcore Space Q45
The Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless are the best mid-range headphones we’ve tested for work. These affordable headphones offer a solid build and a comfortable fit for most people.
The ANC feature does a great job of blocking out a wide range of ambient sounds, including background conversations in the office.
The integrated mic doesn’t make your voice sound as rich as the Razer Barracuda Pro Wireless, but it does a better job of isolating it from the noise, which is a bonus if you work in a fairly noisy office.
The battery life of around 28 hours should easily last you for several days. You can also listen to audio passively with the included cable.
The V-shaped sound profile adds a lot of resonance and punch to the audio. Instruments and voices can sound harsh, but you can adjust the sound using the in-app graphic EQ and presets.

The Bose offers 10 levels of noise cancellation and does a great job of eliminating a lot of background noise.
The Sony has the upper hand with its high-frequency sound, which is helpful for working from-home situations. The 700 only has 20 hours of battery life, 10 hours less than the Sony.
